HUTB Carries Out Publicity Activities for "4.15" National Security Education Day

2024 marks the 10th anniversary of General Secretary Xi Jinping's proposal of the overall national security concept and our province's "National Security Education Enhancement Year". April 15 is the ninth National Security Education Day. In order to fully implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on comprehensively strengthening national security education and to enhance the national security awareness and literacy of teachers and students, the university organized a variety of national security publicity activities that were enjoyable for teachers and students.
During the publicity activities, adhering to the theme of "Overall National Security Concept· 10th Anniversary of Innovative Leadership", the university organized four competitions: the "Overall National Security in New Era slogan collection contest, the "Overall National Security in New Era" poster collection contest, a contest for college students' knowledge and painting works on the overall national security concept, and a contest for college students' knowledge and photography works on the overall national security concept.
From April 11 to 15, in the libraries, teaching buildings, residential areas, and dining halls of the South and North Campuses, the university made full use of campus broadcasting, campus websites, electronic display screens, WeChat public accounts, and other platforms. It increased the special publicity efforts on the overall national security concept, the Counter-Espionage Law, and other national security laws and regulations, as well as the 12339 national security hotline, through methods such as national security Wechat Moments snap signature walls, distribution of promotional leaflets, publicity banners, exhibition boards, and poster displays.
Each secondary unit organized all of its teachers and students to visit the Overall National Security Concept·10th Anniversary of Innovative Leadership theme exhibition in a 360-degree VR online version, through special studies, group discussions, and video watching. They engaged in special studies, focusing on the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Constitution, the National Security Law, the Anti-Terrorism Law, the Counter-Espionage Law, and other related contents.
National security is of paramount importance. Taking National Security Education Day as an opportunity, the university actively carries out national security learning and publicity activities, emphasizing key points while taking into account comprehensive aspects. Through competitions and other methods, it combines concentrated publicity and education activities with daily education and classroom teaching, continuously improving the system, enriching the content, innovating the forms, and establishing the mechanisms. It consistently promotes the integration of the overall national security concept into the minds and actions of individuals, strengthens the people's defense line for national security, and contributes to the harmonious and stable development of the country.
