Xiangjiang Laboratory Concludes Strategic Cooperation Agreements with H3C Group

On March 23, a delegation led by Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory and Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, went to H3C Group for investigation. Yu Yingtao, Chairman of TSINGHUA UNIGROUP and President and CEO of H3C Group, extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by Academician Chen. During the period, Xiangjiang Laboratory and H3C Group, a subsidiary of TSINGHUA UNIGROUP, formally signed a strategic agreement on future cooperation between the two parties.
As the first new R&D institution unveiled among the "Four Major Laboratories" in Hunan Province, Xiangjiang Laboratory focuses on strategic, forward-looking and basic major scientific issues and key core technologies in the frontier science and technology fields of advanced computing and artificial intelligence, and strives to build a first-class S&T innovation highland in China. The innovation center set by Xiangjiang Laboratory in H3C Group will vigorously promote the process of S&T innovation and achievement transformation.
After the strategic cooperation is reached, Xiangjiang Laboratory and H3C Group will give full play to their respective advantages and deepen cooperation in the building of innovation system, personnel training, technological innovation and application achievement transformation of industry-university-research alliance.
For the building of industry-university-research system, both sides will rely on long-term and stable cooperative relations to jointly build an innovation system and personnel training system of industry-university-research alliance, speed up the training of high-level talents, and build leading talents and innovative teams in the digital field. By integrating the science and education resources of Xiangjiang Laboratory and HUTB and the digital resource platform and infrastructure of H3C Group, both sides will jointly carry out innovative research and industrialization in cutting-edge S&T fields such as intelligent computing, network computing integration and massive data. In addition, in order to continuously build cutting-edge technological advantages, both sides will also strengthen cooperation with scientific research institutions and universities, continue to innovate and forge ahead in the digital wave, and make active explorations and contributions to major innovation achievements around the demand of digital transformation in the industry.
After signing the strategic cooperation agreement with H3C Group, both sides will jointly build four innovation centers of computing power, algorithm, computing data and computing network, fully support intelligent computing and AI research, as well as the demonstration application of "computing +", "intelligence +", "computing data +" and "computing network +", and promote the high-quality development of digital economy by innovating scientific research topics and leading cutting-edge standards.
Yu Yingtao, President and CEO of H3C Group, expressed sincere gratitude and respect to Academician Chen Xiaohong for her outstanding contribution to H3C Group. After signing the strategic cooperation agreement between Xiangjiang Laboratory and H3C Group, she will lead the team to build an open and collaborative S&T innovation system and personnel training system together with H3C Group, promote the process of industrial digitalization, empower the transformation and upgrading of the industry, and create new value for industry transformation. Looking ahead, it has become the consensus of all sectors of society to promote the deep integration of digital economy and real economy and create a new engine for economic development.
