HUTB Holds Job Fair for 2023 Graduates Majoring in Economics and Trade in Hunan Province

On April 7, the "Live Up To Your Youth, Live Up To Our Country" job fair for 2023 graduates majoring in economics and trade in Hunan Province, hosted by the Department of Education of Hunan Province and organized by HUTB, along with support from relevant departments and enterprises, was held at the university's track and field. The event included HUTB's first large-scale recruitment fair for 2023 graduates, the "Gathering Talents in Star City, Climbing Summit in Yuelu" special recruitment fair for listed companies and key enterprises in Changsha, and the "Intelligence Gathering in Hunan, Talent Building in HUTB" special campus recruitment fair. Over 420 well-known Top 500 listed enterprises, including China Railway No.5 Engineering Group Co., Ltd., China Securities, Zoomlion, CEC Xiang Jiang Data Services Co., Ltd., and Bank of China, were present at the fair and provided more than 15,000 employment opportunities.

The job fair was lively and well-organized, with a large crowd of people in attendance. Graduates from both inside and outside the university strictly followed the rules of the venue, registered their information and actively applied for jobs. They were full of energy and confidence, dressed neatly and holding carefully prepared resumes. They carefully talked with recruiters from various companies, handed their resumes to the companies they were interested in, and looked for suitable positions for themselves. At the same time, there were also underclassmen who came to the site to get an early understanding of the employment situation and requirements, and purposefully make their personal career plans. Each red sunshade provided a space for the graduates to hold their aspirations and great ideals.

During the job search and application process, most students believe that improving their professional skills will help them find employment. When asked about their mindset and expectations for participating in this job fair, some students viewed it as an opportunity for communication and learning, while others hoped to find a stable job near their homes. Students generally believe that the management model and personal development platform of the companies are crucial factors to consider. Graduating seniors also provide valuable advice in various aspects to their younger schoolmates, such as working hard, laying a solid foundation, preparing well, and sending out more resumes.

Su, a student from the School of Economy & Trade, said: "I am very grateful to the university for holding this job fair, and the quality of the participating companies is very high, which provides us with more choices for our future employment after graduation". Li, who came from another university to attend the job fair, said that the scale of this event was huge, with many Fortune 500 companies participating, providing excellent employment opportunities for graduating students majoring in finance and economics.

The participating companies gave high praise for this job fair. Manager Kang from Talkweb Information System Co.,Ltd. said: "Many students came to our booth to submit resumes, and their comprehensive qualities are very high, and they have a wide range of majors". Manager Li from China Securities Co., Ltd. Hunan Branch expressed gratitude for the logistical support provided at the job fair. She believed that the facilities were well-equipped, the staff were sufficient, and the services were considerate, providing a high-quality communication bridge between graduating students and employers.

The university attaches great importance to the employment and entrepreneurship work of university students, always positioning it as a top priority in the university's work, and continuously establishing and improving institutional mechanisms. The chief leaders and various secondary units actively carried out special actions to visit companies and promote employment. A batch of high-quality enterprises, including Fortune 500 companies and listed companies, were specially invited to the university for recruitment, providing graduating students with access to high-quality employment channels. It is reported that more than 4,000 graduating students from both inside and outside the university attended the job fair for job interviews, and companies received more than 5,000 resumes from graduating students. Subsequently, participating companies will organize shortlisted students for written examinations and other assessment stages based on their personal resumes and on-site interview performances.

As of now, our university has organized 230 exclusive job fairs for the 2023 graduating class, with 230 participating companies providing a total of 22,003 job positions. In addition, there were 40 medium-sized job fairs with 1,287 participating companies, providing a total of 88,896 job positions. Furthermore, there were also 1,413 online recruiting companies providing a total of 86,321 job positions.
