On August 30, the Ministry of Education announced the list of institutions participating in the third batch of the "National Huang Danian-style Faculty Team" creation demonstration. HUTB's "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" course teaching team has successfully been included. This marks the second time the university has received this honor, following the previous inclusion of an academicians' team in the second batch of "National Huang Danian-style Faculty Team." The university is one of five provincial universities in our province to have received this honor two or more times.

The CPC HUTB Committee attaches great importance to the construction of ideological and political courses, especially since the 1st CPC Representative Conference of HUTB in 2021. They have made significant efforts to strengthen the leadership team, the teaching staff, and the conditions of the School of Marxism Studies. They have also introduced a series of high-impact policies in terms of achievement recognition and title evaluations. Professor Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, as well as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, has chaired development review meetings for the School of Marxism Studies. She has also delivered several exemplary ideological and political courses for the university's faculty and students. Professor Chen Xiaohong has provided clear guidance and substantial support for the high-quality teaching of the course "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era."

The teaching team for the course "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" has been deeply rooted in relevant theories and practices, yielding fruitful results. They have based their efforts on the new era and current circumstances, inheriting the noble spirit of Huang Danian. They have been tirelessly committed to implementing the Ministry of Education's directive that "offering high-quality 'Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era' courses is of utmost importance." They have excelled in the interpretation and promotion of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in teaching and research. Their work has received recognition and accolades from various units, including the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Education, and the Central Committee of Communist Youth League of China. The team leader, Professor Deng Lianrong, is a participant in national talent programs, a member of the editorial team for authoritative works like "Study Outline of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era," and the leader of the research, interpretation, and promotion team for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in the project for outstanding teams in ideological and political work in universities in Hunan Province. In the past five years, the team has produced a group of outstanding teachers, including "National Young Talent in Propaganda, Ideology, and Culture," "National Excellent Member of Communist Youth League," and the "First Most Beautiful Ideological and Political Teachers in Universities in Hunan Province." They have also guided students to achieve the special prize in the 2022 and 2023 Hunan Provincial Undergraduate Research-based Learning and Presentation Competition on the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and ideological and political theory courses for university students. The team has a reasonable age and professional structure, making it a high-level team of teachers that is dedicated, committed to learning, innovative, and action-oriented, meeting the requirements of the reform and development of ideological and political courses in the new era and on the new journey.

The successful inclusion of the "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" course teacher team is a significant achievement for the university, reflecting the long-term commitment to promoting teacher ethics and professional standards, enhancing the educational and teaching capabilities, research innovation abilities, and social service capabilities of the teaching staff.
