HUTB Holds Unveiling Ceremony of Feiwu Stadium

On the morning of November 24, a sunny and warm winter day, the unveiling ceremony of the Feiwu Stadium (Airfilm Stadium) was held at the North Campus. The unveiling ceremony was attended by Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as well as Liu Guoquan and Yi Mianyang, members of the CPC HUTB Committee and Vice Presidents of HUTB, and Xiao Xiaoqin, former Deputy Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee and Chairman of the Labour Union. Leaders from relevant functional departments and representatives of faculty and students also attended the ceremony. Vice President Yi Mianyang presided over the unveiling ceremony.
During the ceremony, Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a speech. She warmly congratulated the completion of the Feiwu Stadium and expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of the CPC HUTB Committee to all the staff and builders who participated in the construction of the stadium. She pointed out that in recent years, the CPC HUTB Committee has vigorously promoted the construction of the "Dual Main Campus" and continuously increased the basic construction efforts of the North Campus. As a result, the sense of happiness and fulfillment among the faculty and students at the North Campus has been significantly improved. The new stadium is a landmark project in the construction of the North Campus and also serves as a pioneering demonstration of sports center construction among universities in the province. This provides the faculty and students of the North Campus with another high-quality sports venue.
Secretary Chen Xiaohong called on all faculty and students to actively implement the "Sports HUTB" concept, make full use of the various sports venues built by HUTB for faculty and students, exercise for one hour every day, work healthily for fifty years, lead a happy life, and enjoy sports, happiness, and health in their leisure time, contributing to the high-quality development of the university's undertakings.
Vice President Yi Mianyang introduced the basic information of the Feiwu Stadium to the faculty and students. The stadium is constructed using the latest airfilm technology and covers an area of over 1500 square meters. It is equipped with 8 table tennis tables, 6 badminton courts, and multiple fitness areas, allowing for more than 200 people to engage in sports activities simultaneously.
Amidst enthusiastic applause and cheers, the attending Chief Leaders and student representatives jointly unveiled the Feiwu Stadium. With its official inauguration, the new stadium has become another great destination for sports activities for the faculty and students at the North Campus.
After the unveiling ceremony, the Chief Leaders entered the new stadium for inspection. Secretary Chen Xiaohong highly praised the construction quality of the stadium and made demands regarding its usage and daily management and maintenance. The Chief Leaders also joined the faculty and students in experiencing sports such as table tennis and badminton. The beautifully designed, energy-efficient, temperature-controlled, well-ventilated, safe, and comfortable sports facilities add to the excitement of the sports activities, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere on-site.
Subsequently, the Chief Leaders also inspected various areas along the way in the North Campus, including the Cuiwei Park, Jinsuo Lake Landscape Belt, campus main road, library and laboratory building courtyard square, faculty and student apartments, outdoor basketball court, and Zhuiguang Building. Secretary Chen Xiaohong highly affirmed the achievements of the basic campus construction in the North Campus this year. She demanded that relevant functional departments closely focus on the thoughts, ideas, and expectations of the faculty and students in the North Campus. Starting from the details, efforts should be made to improve the quality by greening, beautifying, illuminating, and making it more practical. This will provide the faculty and students in the North Campus with a higher-quality learning, working, and living environment and conditions.
