They conducted on-site visits to facilities such as the university's historical museum, laboratories, Xiangjiang Academy, the sports activity center, and Qiushi Academy, experiencing the beautiful campus environment of the university.

Talent is the primary resource driving development. In order to achieve the strategic goal of "Three Advances and Three Highs" and lead the construction of the Xiangjiang Laboratory, the university attaches great importance to talent work. By employing various methods such as “going out, inviting in, and recommending talent through talent”, the university has broadened channels for talent acquisition. The hosting of the “Xiangjiang Scholars Forum” serves as a crucial mechanism for concentrated talent attraction under the “inviting in” initiative. Since 2017, the university has successfully held this forum for five sessions.

To successfully organize this academic forum and attract outstanding talents, the Teacher Affairs Department of the CPC HUTB Committee, in collaboration with various secondary schools, has vigorously recruited talents through a combination of online and offline methods. Online platforms have been actively utilized for video recruitment and virtual job fairs, while offline efforts have been made to visit "Double First-Class" universities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Xi'an, and other cities to recruit academic leaders and doctoral candidates. The 62 scholars participating in the "Xiangjiang Scholars Forum" were selected from over a thousand resumes. They are outstanding talents who meet the developmental needs of our academic disciplines. This selection process reflects the university's talent acquisition standards of “both seeking talents eagerly and selecting the best candidates” and injects new vitality into the construction of a high-level talent team at the university.
