On the morning of April 19, Chen Fei, Member of the CPC Leading Group and Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Hunan Provincial People's Congress, led a delegation to conduct a research visit to the Xiangjiang Laboratory. Chen Xiaohong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, and Secretary of the CPC HUTB Committee, accompanied the delegation during their visit.

Deputy Director Chen Fei and his delegation conducted an on-site research visit to the Xiangjiang Laboratory's research achievement exhibition hall, Intelligent Logistics Laboratory, and innovation laboratory for the integration of culture and technology. They watched promotional videos showcasing the laboratory's innovative achievements, visited seven innovative products released to the public by the Xiangjiang Laboratory, including the Xuanyuan intelligent transportation model, and viewed the latest application results of several major key projects, such as humanoid robots, intelligent robots, mechanical arm systems, and motion capture systems. They also learned about the progress of 12 cutting-edge technology research teams, including artificial intelligence (AI) large models, computing chips and advanced computing, new generation AI, smart society, and computational network brain, as well as the laboratory's main authorized patents. Deputy Director Chen Fei also reviewed the theoretical works of Academician Chen Xiaohong in the fields of new quality productive forces, ecological civilization, two-oriented society, blockchain, and metaverse, and highly praised them.
Academician Chen Xiaohong introduced the construction and development of the Xiangjiang Laboratory since its establishment. She stated that under the strong leadership of the Provincial CPC Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province, the laboratory has adhered to the development thought of "Integration of Computing Power, Algorithm, Computing Basis, and Computing Network, Leading Creation and Innovation, Intelligent Computing for the Future", continuously enhancing the level of operational concretization. The laboratory has gathered a group of top academicians and expert teams, conducted research and development, application, and implementation simultaneously, and released the first batch of innovative achievements reaching the domestic leading level to the society. It has made significant progress in promoting the integrated development of culture and technology and the "Artificial Intelligence+" initiative.
Deputy Director Chen Fei fully affirmed the construction and development achievements of the Xiangjiang Laboratory. He expressed the hope that the Xiangjiang Laboratory will further play the role of a high energy-level technological innovation platform, adhere to goal-oriented and problem-oriented approaches, focus on accelerating the formation of new quality productive forces, actively build the "Integration of Computing Power, Algorithm, Computing Basis and Computing Network" new engine and new advantages to serve the high-quality development of the economy and society, support the development of the digital economy, contribute to the construction of the "4 x 4" modern industrial system, promote industrial innovation through technological innovation, and actively promote the integrated development of culture and technology. Deputy Director Chen Fei also provided guiding suggestions on the high-quality operation and development of the Xiangjiang Laboratory, including high-level talent gathering, functional positioning of innovative products, application implementation, and performance improvement.
