Introduction to Speaker: Professor Mei, doctor of Linguistic and Rhetoric, is now a Professor of English Department of Shanghai International Studies University and supervisor of doctoral students. Meanwhile, he is also a Professor of Learning Strategies and Language Policy and supervisor of doctoral students. Professor Mei is entitled to “ Chutian Scholar” of Hubei Province. And he is now director of Academy Commission of National Foreign Language Strategy Research Center, director of Shanghai International Education Examination Service Center, headmaster of Overseas Cooperation Institute of Shanghai International Studies University, director of Training Department of Overseas Study Service Center affiliated to Ministry of Education, member of Ministry of Education Elementary Education Curriculum Expert Working Committee, leader of Editing Group of Ministry of Education Publication Standard of English Curriculum, deputy Chancellor of National Academic English Teaching Research Commission, member of China Education Association Professional Committee of Foreign Language Teaching, member of National Translation Professional Qualifications (level) Examination Expert Committee and member of Shanghai Foreign Language Interpretation Certificate Examination Expert Committee. Professor Mei received 2nd Prize (Twice) of National Teaching Achievement, 1st Prize (three times) of Shanghai Teaching Achievement, Quality Textbook Award of National Higher Education, 1st Prize of Shanghai Higher Education Excellent Textbook, National Excellent Teacher Award sponsored by and named after Baosteel Group, Shanghai Higher Education Outstanding Teacher Award, etc.
